Come join our ‘ohana!  We're looking for the right restaurant professional with experience working in high volume restaurants to join our Kihei restaurant as a Tour Guide.

MBC Restaurants are a direct extension of the values and practices we employ in brewing our handcrafted ales and lagers. Provide the highest level of quality and service to our guests by being responsible for all preparation, interaction and steps of service needed to exceed guest expectations in the restaurant and bar.

• Greet all guests and co-workers in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
• Greet guests and help determine what his/her wants or needs are; recommend and select items based on  guests’ information and requests.     
• Learning inside and out the history of Maui Brewing Co., our brewing process, and the culture and brand of the brewery today; effectively sharing that information with guests of all levels of beer knowledge and experience.
• Leading Groups of 15-20 people on 30 minute walking tour of the brewery 4-6 times a day (we are open for public tours 7 days a week)
• Provide 15 min guided tasting of our 4 flagship beers
• Partner with fellow tour guides to ensure tours run smoothly and efficiently; supporting one another when additional assistance is needed
• Use point of sale system to ring in purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payments.
• Maintain all required records related to sales.
• Preparing the tasting area (including making sure all beer lines are clean and kegs full), drink ware and safety gear for tours at the beginning of each day. Cleaning and storing gear at the end of each day.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the Tour Reservation calendar including taking reservations, checking in guests, responding to telephone and email inquiries.
• Maintaining compliance with safety regulations in the brewery.
• Communicating feedback of the tour program to Leadership as needed. Answer phones, assist callers, and take restaurant reservations.
• Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance.
• Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee or guest injury.
• Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene and health.

• A one-time TB clearance must be obtained prior to starting work.

Experience: Minimum six months to one year related experience.

Computer Skills: Experience with Point of Sale System preferred.

Other: Job offer contingent upon successful completion of background screening.

Must take and pass all training tests 90%.
